Rooms: 201 inc 98 twin rooms, two junior suites, two special needs rooms, nine deluxe rooms with an oriental seating area plus family rooms (connecting adjacent rooms) and Senior suites which include a living room and a panoramic view. 

Room Facilities: Fully adjustable air conditioning, private bathroom/shower room, private balcony or patio with garden view or port view, satellite TV – stations include Italian, German, French & English, hairdryer, in-room safe, mini-bar, direct dial telephone/internet - elec current vltg / 110-240.

Location: Next to Port Ghalib marina; about 5 minutes from Marsa Alam airport and approximately
60km north of Marsa Alam town.  There is a shuttle boat (water taxi) which takes guests free of charge to and from Port Ghalib marina and shops which lie across the bay.   

Hotel Facilities: Restaurant, diving school, glass bottom boat from in front of the hotel, Convention Centre service with capacity for up to 60 people, secretarial service, fax services, photocopy services computer outlets, wedding license, disabled access, disabled rooms with full access to all outlets, disabled toilets.  We understand there is a 24 hour room service which is an unusual luxury for an Egyptian four star hotel.  

But no ATM, no bank and we are not sure if there is a hairdresser or beautician.  However you can find ATM machines in Port Ghalib near by.

Guest Reviews:

On, as of 18 Februrary 2018, the hotel had achieved a mid range ranking of 3rd out of the five hotels in the Port Ghalib Marina area. However it should be noted that some of the best hotels in Marsa Alam are located here, so a third position is a very respectable ranking. 

As of April 2017, the hotel had already achieved a similarly creditable ranking of 17th out of 71 hotels in the region, which while no change on December 2016 (17th of 74 hotels) was a huge leap from its earlier rank of 38th out of 71 hotels in December 2012.

As of 18 February 2018, 84.7 per cent reviewers described the resort as either "very good" or "excellent" ( +12.7% since December 2012) and just 6.7% rated it as either "poor" or "terrible" (-7% since December 2012). However neither rating showed any great change compared to either December 2017 or April 2017 when the resort scored a 84 per cent rating for the "very good" and "excellent" categories with 7 per cent rating it as either "poor" or "terrible".  Please note that prior to 2018 the ratings figures were rounded to the nearest percentage.

On, as of 18 February 2018, the resort scored the same and better in all categories compared with December 2012, although with a slight decline in the gastronomy category from a peak in December 2016. The hotel itself achieved a creditable rating of 4.5 out of six stars (up from 4.3 in December 2012) with the highest grades for rooms at 4.9 (unchanged) and service at 4.8 (a leap upwards from 4.2) and slightly lower scores for location at 4.4 (unchanged), sport and entertainment at 4.3 (up from 4.0) and gastronomy lagging at 4.1 (unchanged). The complete results for December 2012, December 2016, April 2017 and February 2018 are given in the table below.

As of 18 February 2018, 79 per cent of reviewers said they would recommend the hotel, the best result ever recorded here, compared to 76% in April 2017, 77% in December 2016 and just 72% in December 2012.

 "The small beach is clean with toilets and beach bar, but you have to walk 400 yards through the desert to get there or take the courtesy bus. The magnificent reef with beautiful coral and fish starts straight in front of the beach. Bring a snorkel and water shoes, fins are optional because it is that shallow and close."

"Whilst I am not a diver any more due to a damaged ear drum I still love to go snorkeling which can also be done from one of the many diving boats. The Red Sea is amazing and a great experience and the guys from the dive shop really knew where we could go to see some exciting things."

"The beach lies about three minutes walk down a footpath from the hotel. There is also a free bus service available.  The sunbeds, as well as the cushions were all in good condition however if the hotel is fully occupied, there would not have been enough."
