"Since our last visit in 2017 the overall quality has improved. The main change was the food available in the Palmito beach bar which is now a range of freshly made sandwiches. Served in a bread roll (made in the hotel like all the bread ), they were nicely prepared. For us, one to share was enough for lunch. The Feyruz restaurant continues to be available for lunch and as a formal dining location in the evening. The food here has taken on a more modern presentation thanks to a new restaurant manager. As always, the staff were wonderful. Always polite, friendly and helpful."

"Will definitely return - many thanks to Mahmoud our Tui rep and Vanya Guest Relations who came daily to ensure all was ok and deal with any questions etc. All in all a truy wonderful holiday - 100% recommended - we'll be back."
( Gillian 29 January 2017 )

"The hotel certainly lived up to all our expectations, the rooms were great, the food was excellent and the staff could not do enough for you. It was wonderful to wake up every morning to clear blue skies which heralded a day of uninterrupted  sun, relaxation and total pampering."
( Michael 14 July 2016 )

"This was the third time we were in the Coraya Beach Resort and again it was excellent. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable.  There is a nice walking path to the other side of the bay. There are four hotels/resorts at the bay and the best (out of the wind) and biggest beach is Coraya. It is quiet, no loud music etc and the food, the buffet was well as the a la carte restaurants, is outstanding."
( Beverwijk 23 June 2016 )

"We have been back nearly two weeks and both of us wish we could fly back again tomorrow. This hotel is lovely. So picturesque with fantastic staff. The hotel was only half full so lots of outside space and lovely and quiet."
( Shaz 5 July 2016 )

"Nowhere is perfect, but this place gets close and you don't get too many places that supply free sunglasses cleaning on the beach. Just another of the extras on offer. Please try the soup at the beach bar at lunch followed by a cheese sandwich."

( Todytd12 23 June 2013 )

"A dream: just peace and hardly any entertainment. Cordial staff. Sophisticated, rather older guests. Very delicious kitchen with ideal choice. Very clean. We will be back."
( Nils March 2013 )

"Wouldn't hesitate to return in a flash !!"
( 1 May 2012 )

"The hotel Coraya is only to be recommended. This year we were there for the eighth time and we enjoyed it once again; the location, the friendliness of the staff, the beach and the super food."
( Pia and Werner January 2013 )

"We have been eleven times to Egypt and tried many hotel chains - Marriott, Sheraton, Steigenberger, Hilton, Albatros etc but based on our experience this hotel is the best !"
( Ludmila march 2012 )

"We are definitely coming again. Many thanks and big compliments to all."
( Torsten February 2012 )

"We would say this is one of the best, if not THE best holidays we have been on and certainly very good value for money if you go all inclusive"
( TripAdvisor 26 September 2008 )

"The holiday was worth every penny and we are planning to return for my 30th. If you are consdiering going to Marsa Alam then Coraya Beach would be the ideal place to stay."
( TripAdvisor 10 August 2008 )

"The snorkeling - well what can I say, it's fab. We really did try to get up early and snorkel but never quite made it before 10 am. The care of the reef is very good and we felt that the barrier you can swim to has been brought out to protect the reef which is excellent. Again, beach staff are excellent."
( J.W. 22 January 2017 )

"A beautiful bay with a coral reef.... definitely worth taking a camera that can go underwater. You will see lots of beautifully coloured fish even if you are not a good swimmer. There is a large jetty that goes out quite a way over the reef and you can see lots from there. Turtles were seen on several days and on our last day dolphins were in the bay."
( Miyagi 6 August 2016 )

"The beach is very good (by Red Sea standards) with plenty of loungers along the bay. From here there is some amazing snorkeling to be had along the (protected) house reef. Due to the hotel location within a bay.....swimming/snorkeling (is) very safe and easy. The Dive Centre, located just around the other side of the bay, is really professional and friendly with a great selection of local and more distant dives, all very reasonably priced."
( Speegy 28 July 2016 )

"Coraya Bay has it's own private coral reefs that you can freely snorkel and see turtles, rays, an array of fish and much more ! The beach looks like something straight out of a travel catalogue with loungers and private huts to use. The guys working on the beach are fantastic running back and forth all day to get you drinks and snacks if you wish. They are all very happy and a pleasure to be around."
( Vee 26 July 2016 )

"We don't get worried about towels, sunbeds etc. However we did giggle at the sight of people sneaking out to mark their territory as early as 6am (and the only reason we were up early was to go diving.) Enforcement of the reserving sunbed rule seemed light touch.....   We did a daily visit to the cafe on the beach to raid the ice cream fridge and to enjoy the excellent coffee."
( Steve K 20 June 2013 )

"Coraya Beach has a walk-in sea beach on a sheltered bay so you can snorkel out to the immaculate reef - at least as far as you feel confident. I'm not a very confident swimmer and I rejected all the hotels with pier only access to the sea when I was researching which hotel to book."
( 14 May 2012 )

"Coraya is the only hotel in the bay with direct (walk-in) access to the sea."
( Wolfgang March 2012 )

"The underwater world was very beautiful and the reef on both sides still in very good condition.  Among the seaweed in the middle we met a turtle. However, we only had one day with a perfect underwater view, as on the other days there was a strong wind which swirled up particles to make the water very misty."
( Malte March 2012 )

"If easy access to the sea is a priority this hotel is the best located within the bay. The water was warm and free of jelly fish – a first in my visits to the Red Sea. A wide range of tropical fish can be seen within the shallow water, the best time being at low tide when the breeze is also at its lowest. There is also a long jetty into the bay for snorkelers to use. "
( TripAdvisor 31 October 2008 )

"From the moment we arrived until we left, we received excellent service. The management and staff were professional and friendly and did everything with a smile on their face, with nothing being too much trouble."
( Sued 30 January 2017 )

"The hotel is lovely, but what made out stay were the staff. They are so warm and friendly, and truly considerate of their clients. I think we get used to the odd employee in UK hotels who can be dour and miserable. No so at Coraya Beach Hotel. They are all great."
( Jimikew 28 January 2017 )

"The service is terrific. The room service was always asking if everything was okay or if there was anything which could be improved.... (and).... there was the lifeguard Mustafa with a smile bringing us the pool chairs every morning."
( Andreas September 2016 )

"The staff here are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, indeed it is the staff that play a very big part in making this a special place to stay. We had some great banter with the boys in the restaurant.......  Tip - if you do go out of your way a little to be friendly to the staff... You will get it back ten-fold."
( Miyagi 6 August 2016 )

"All the staff from room attendant to all of the waiters and dining room staff were very attentive and made you feel special."
( Eddie 5 August 2016 )

"I hear people complain of all sorts of petty issues... the sad thing is that if they had actually said something to reception, guest relations or the Thomson rep, their issues would have been resolved immediately..... but instead they whinge and whine to other guests instead. The hotel staff will do anything to help you right down to changing your mattress on your bed !"
( Sally 24 June 2016 )

"Outstanding staff.....waiter service on the beach and bar staff who appear with your "usual" order before you've settled in your seat.....Animation team worked so hard, as did all the other staff.....One lovely gardener threw me up a posy of flowers every morning."
( 14 May 2012 )

"The staff are very, very friendly and requests are dealt with very quickly. We will definitely come back."
( Birgit February 2012 )

"We probably made the most use of the waiters on the beach to keep us topped up with non alcholic drinks all day, what a job in that heat, but they were always smiling and very cheerful and again worth the tips."
( TripAdvisor 16 October 2008 )

"The standard of cleanliness of the room and in fact of the whole complex is excellent. There are plenty of room towels, even a dressing gown is provided. Clean beach towels are brought to your room each evening and these can be exchanged during the day if required."
( TripAdvisor 5 October 2008 )

"The staff in the hotel are brilliant they can't do enough for you, everybody was very friendly and not at all pushy. The rooms were immaculate and kept that way by the wonderful housekeeper we had towel sculptures on the bed every day and recieved little gifts which I wont say any more about as I don't want to spoil it for you."
( TripAdvisor 3 September 2008 )

"We had a housekeeper who was absoulutely brilliant, the pool guys were great putting our towels out for us. Our waiter was so friendly that my son would not leave until he had a photo taken with him. "
( TripAdvisor 7 August 2008 )

"Food was fantastic. There was a massive choice of different varieties for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beach bar served snacks pretty much all day. Fayrouz a la carte has a great lunch time menu and you can sit on the balcony and enjoy your meal."
( Binabout 27 January 2017 )

"The food was always top. Whoever found nothing here, it was their fault. The Egyptian food was of course different ... but it's worth trying, especially the spreads which were wonderful ( try Om Ali at breakfast!). .. The dessert buffet was simply a dream !!"
( Nicole and Andre August 2016 )

"The AI restaurant is very good without the usual school dinners feel that many AI places have, particularly when eating on the very large outside terrace. The food was very varied and of a very high standard."

( Speegy 28 July 2016 )

"The food is good with a wide selection to choose from each night, the Egyptian night is the best. A lot to offer for vegetarians. Fresh pasta cooked to order daily."
( Vee 26 July 2016 )

"I am a sufferer of IBS and yet I never had an issue with the food out here. In fact if anything I usually feel better as I am eating a varied healthy diet. The food is lovely and different every night.... Yes there are themed nights but the food is not always the same."
( Sally 24 June 2016 )

"Dining at the buffet restaurant twice a day (we only ate lunch and dinner) wasn't as dull as it sounds due to great variety and good standards. Always found something to satisfy our appetites. Gents bring 3/4 or long trousers for dinner as shorts are not acceptable."
( ManCityLisa 21 June 2013 )

"The best selection of foods in a buffet restaurant I have ever seen."
( 14 May 2012 )

"The buffet is gorgeous and every day there is a new selection of specialities.  We particularly liked the grilll on the terrace with seafood, quails and speciality steaks and (being German) we were happy to find at breakfast food for most cultural tastes including (for us) freshly baked brown bread and bircher muesli."
( Malte March 2012 )

"The main restaurant was very spacious and the staff attentive and friendly, without being too familiar.  The good was good with ample choice, although, depending on the time you went for dinner,  the queuing for the hot food was rather cramped, as the majority of containers were along one wall and close together, which meant that if you were polite and queued in line, you ended up waiting ages."
( 23 March 2012 )

"The food was tasty and every evening there was a different themed buffet plus a barbecue at the grill station."
( Jurgen February 2012 )

"We loved the main restaurant buffets.  There was a very good selection for breakfast and dinner with quick (3-4 minutes) cooking stations.  These would cook omelets and pancakes in the mornings and pasta or meat in the evenings.  For breakfast it was also possible to have three fresh juices prepared as well as good tea and coffee.  It was lovely to sit with a latte macchiato in the hand and look out at the bay from the restaurant terrace."
( Romy February 2012 )

"No complaints about the quality of the basic food and the quantity but the presentation and variety lacked immagination. There were some good dishes but these tended to be the exception not the rule. The soups were bland and the salads tended to be various mixes of the same ingredients."
( TripAdvisor 5 October 2008 )

"We enjoyed the food in the buffet restaurant, there is a big variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner - you could eat something different every day. However, the Al la Carte is by far and away the best option as the steak and sea bass is second to none"
( TripAdvisor 26 September 2008 )

"The buffet always had a wonderful choice and many dishes were made while you watched. The speciality restaurant, Fayrouz, was also great. Fantastic Sea Bass, the best I have ever tasted. Would love to know the key to getting it so crisp"
( TripAdvisor 14 September 2008 )

"The room service was very good and everything was clean and every day we got fresh towels. Minibar, safe, hair dryer, shower, utensils, everything available, nice balcony with a view to the sea or garden area."
( - Very approximate & amateur translation from the German with translation mistakes possible - Tobias March 2017 )

"We had a double room... with side view to the sea and terrace on the ground floor.... The rooms are all of a comfortable size, with TV, closet, safe. The beds are very comfortable... The bathroom was all right, equipped with a spacious shower, toilet, sink and a hair dryer... only the water precious was a little weak."
( - Very approximate & amateur translation from the German with translation mistakes possible - Kirsten and Helmut March 2017 )

"The rooms are dotted around in blocks amongst beautiful gardens and are designed to give a feel of being in an exotic paradise. Not all the rooms however have the best views, some overlook the walkways, which although still very pretty, aren't the best in our opinion. Ask for a sea view room and you will not be disappointed."
( Miyagi 6 August 2016 )

"Our room was more than comfortable, lovely sea view and kept spotless. The fridge in the rooms are kept topped up. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, something you don't see a lot in hotels today."
( Gerald 3 August 2016 )

"The rooms are beautiful with very comfortable beds. Our balcony over looked the pool bar so it got the sun all day which was fantastic."
( Vee 26 July 2016 )

"We were allocated a twin beeded room on the third floor overlooking the pools. It was so relaxing and cool, excellent air conditioning. As every time we have been here the rooms are spotless, largish and well furnished. The room attendant was thoughtful and always left us with a piece of towel art. He was also very honest.....  he even rushed after us on our leaving day with my money belt with several hundred pounds in it that I had left in the room !"
( Andy 21 June 2013)

"Size about 40 square metres with a separate dressing room area, terrace with a view of the sea, stylishly decorated in soft colours.....Coffee machine, good minibar and everything very well maintained."
( Silvia February 2012 )

"The balcony overlooked the beach which was beautiful. The pictures of the rooms on the website do not do them justice. The room was beautifully decorated with flower petals and every day we had a different towel sculpture."
( TripAdvisor 10 August 2008 )
