LONELY PLANET REVIEW
Some years ago, the well reputed travel guide – Lonely Planet Egypt described it as having an “attractive beach, a good Italian restaurant and diving centre.”
On TripAdvisor.com, as of 16 March 2021, Kahramana Beach Resort was ranked 39th out of 77 hotels in the region, little changed from its ranking in May 2019 of 36th out of a smaller number of listed hotels – then 69. However, it should be noted that the last review for the resort on Tripadvisor is dated December 2018, so any recent change in the hotel’s relative ranking can only be due to changes in the ratings of other hotels. That said, based on these older reviews, 77.5% of guests rated the resort as either “very good” or “excellent” and just 9.3% considered it “poor” or “terrible.”
The full results for the last four times we checked the Tripadvisor ratings for the resort are given below. Please note, however, that prior to 2018 the figures were rounded to the nearest percentage point.
TRIPADVISOR RATINGS – JULY 2013 TO MARCH 2021

As of 16 March 2021, the resort no longer carried a rating on Holidaycheck.de, presumably because the last review on the website was in October 2017. The previous two times we checked on 19 May 2019 and 18 February 2018, it was rated at four out of six stars. Prior to that, in January 2017, it had an average rating of 4.7 stars, up from 4.2 stars in July 2013.
Since 2018, HolidayCheck has not given average ratings for particular sectors such as service or rooms, presumably because if they did they would be based on old reviews. However, previously in January 2017, the highest assessments were awarded for service at 4.9 ( a big leap upwards from 4.1 in 2013), rooms at 4.8 ( a slight fall from 5.0 ) and location at 4.6 ( up from 4.2 ) with lower scores for sport at 4.4 ( up from 4.1 ) and gastronomy at 4.1 ( up from 3.8 ).
