This is an independent review. I don’t receive any commission or other financial benefit if you book this hotel. While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, I can’t guarantee the information is completely error-free. Please check any details given on this page with the resort before booking or making any decision.

The Hilton Nubian opened about fifteen years ago in July 2011, and now enjoys a high ranking on both Tripadvisor and Holidaycheck. Possibly that’s not that surprising given the Hilton name and that the resort has direct access to one of Marsa Alam’s best natural sandy beaches at Abu Dabbab Bay.

ROOMS

The Hilton Nubian has 400 in total. The hotel bedrooms are in individual blocks of 12 to 24 rooms arranged on two floors.  All the blocks are located within extensive landscaped gardens. Standard guest rooms start from 398 square feet (37 sq. m), while deluxe rooms are 462 sq. ft (43 sq. m) and suites are an enormous 860 sq ft (80 sq. m). The suites come with sea or pool view, a separate living room and a separate bathroom with a “rejuvenating Jacuzzi and premium bath amenities

ROOM FACILITIES

Standard: decorated in Nubian style. The high standards of room fittings may well be one reason, as of 14 May 2026, for the resort’s excellent Booking.com ratings for comfort (9.4/10) and facilities (9.1/10).  Guests can stay connected with high-speed internet access (though here, while okay, the guest WiFi rating (rated 5.9/10) is not the best.)  Movie fans can enjoy a film on the LCD TV, or simply relax on the balcony or terrace and enjoy the views over landscaped gardens or the sea.

Even the standard rooms are lavishly equipped with 37 inch HD televisions, night lights and telephone in the bathroom, standard and cable TV, blackout curtains, granite counter tops, 300 thread count sheets, night lights, air conditioning controlled by an adjustable thermostat, a work desk with adjustable lamp, a ceiling fan (in case you don’t like air conditioning), tea/coffee making facilities, two phones with speaker and voicemail including one with a Dataport and obviously a minibar.

Deluxe: As far as I can work it out you get a standard room with a few extras and an additional 64 square feet ( 6 square metres) of space. According to the hotel’s own website “special touches include a fluffy bathrobe and slippers.” Please check that out for more detailed information on their rooms here.

Suites: Similarly equipped to the Deluxe Rooms but with much more space – a total of 862 square feet (80 sq. m) as well as a “rejuvenating jacuzzi,” a large marble bathroom, a kitchenette and espresso machine. You can also enjoy special perks such as bathrobes, slippers and night lights and a telephone in the bathroom. Find more information on the suites on the hotel’s website here.

GENERAL FACILITIES

Of greatest interest will be the Hilton Nubian’s own beautiful natural sandy beach fronting Abu Dabbab Bay where if you are lucky you can swim with sea turtles or even sometimes a dugong – a huge herbivorous sea cow like marine mammal (see our dugongs page).  However, even if you don’t like snorkelling or scuba diving, there are a lot of other activities for those who don’t want to spend all their time on the sun loungers – these include basketball, fishing, a jogging track, swimming in the pool, table tennis, pool and bicycle rental.

For customer convenience there is also an ATM, baggage storage, a barber shop, a beauty salon, a clothing store, a concierge desk, foreign currency exchange, a gift shop, a laundry desk, a news stand, room service and a safety deposit box.

Families with children will be pleased to know that the hotel also offers a babysitting service, children’s activities, a children’s menu, high chairs, a playground and a playpen.

Business services may not be at the top of most visitors’ agendas here but they include express mail and a printer.
