DON’T PAY FOR EXPENSIVE HOTEL WIFI
Your connection using either a Telecom-Egypt WE or a Vodafone SIM card is likely to be far better and cheaper than the WIFI connection in the hotels. Most of us don’t think about the problem of connecting online during our holidays. We assume that there will be a good connection for free or at most only a few euros a day.
Unfortunately, however, few hotels in Marsa Alam currently offer free internet and then often only in the lobby area, while most hotels charge shockingly high prices. Why do they charge so much ? Well, when you are surrounded by the desert, they think you don’t have any other options. What’s worse is that after shelling out all that cash many tourists find that their connection is a lot slower than they had hoped.
